The V8 Zagato, as the name suggests, was  based on the Aston Martin V8 but with a body by the famed Italian coach builders, Zagato. The design was an angular modern interpretation of the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato of the 1960s. Apart from the lack of a fixed roof, the major external change from the coupe was a new dummy radiator grill and pivoted ‘eyelids’ to cover the head lamps when they are not in use. Extra strengthening added just 35kg in weight and together with the EFI engine its performance was ahead of the standard V8 Volante, with a claimed top speed of 160mph and 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. Although initially Aston Martin Lagonda intended to build just 25 Zagato Volantes, by the time that production ended in 1989, 37 production cars had been completed due to demand from Aston Martin collectors.

Supplied new by Aston Martin of Kensington, London, at a cost of over £190,000, Chassis Number 30024 has only had 2 former keepers, and has been serviced by the Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd Works at Newport Pagnell, and more recently by H.R Owen Ltd.

ABOUT THE EL CAMINO MODEL: Introduced 1959 to compete with the Ford Ranchero model and designed by Chevrolet stylist Chuck Jordan, this new model enjoyed 50% more sales than the equivalent Ford model. Hot Rod magazine conducted a test of an El Camino equipped with the hottest powertrain combination available in early 1959—a 315 bhp (235 kW; 319 PS), triple-carb, solid-lifter 348 V8 mated to a four-speed. Staff testers clocked 0-60 mph times of around seven seconds, estimated top speed at 130 mph (210 km/h), and predicted 14-second/100-mph quarter-mile performance with a rear-axle ratio suitable for drag racing installed. For years, GM has been rumored to be considering bringing back the El Camino. GM already has a vehicle ready in Australia in the form of the Holden Ute Chevrolet-badged version of which, known as the Lumina Ute, is sold in South Africa and Middle East), save for some minor changes necessary to make it available in the U.S. With Holden production ending, it is now clear that the Holden Ute will not be imported to the US. Many present-day owners of Chevrolet El Caminos (and its GM sister vehicles) are members of the National El Camino Owners Association.

1962 Austin A40 Farina.

1962 Austin A40 Farina. Aqua blue. 948cc. These little A40's make very practical classic motoring, with their folding rear seat and good sized load space, still with the simple A series mechanicals, or you can tune and tweak them for historic motorsport purposes if you have a need for speed!

This example is in need of some tlc, restored several years ago, some of the welded repairs to the sills are dubious, they could be repaired further, but a better job would be to fit new sills. The front wings are fibreglass, so no rust worries there. The interior is in pretty good shape, apart from some repairs to the seat bases.
The engine fires readily and the car runs and drives, although the brakes are a bit sticky. The car does actually have MoT until 5/7/16, but we are selling it as a light restoration project, so it will need to be trailered away (we can deliver short distances or get quotes if you are further away.).
Please study the pictures, if you need more, please email, or call Mike on 01736 7624

11953 AC BUCKLAND SPORTS TOURER

Chassis No: EH1984              Registration No: PAR 419
The AC Buckland is a development from the AC two litre saloon, which is the highest produced vehicle by AC cars, however the Buckland is  a rarer breed with only sixty of the open top tourers produced with even fewer being the straight doored mark one.

Here we have one of the AC Owners Club founders Harold Day’s AC Buckland racer, after competing in events at Goodwood,Brands Hatch and Silverstone. The most notable being the first AC to compete at the chichester based circuit.  The vehicle has beenrestored from the ground up,it retains its original chassis and the period aluminium bodywork, this has been stripped back to bare metal, media blasted andbodywork imperfections were restored, however unlike most racecars, this does retain the fabric that it left the factory with.

Additionaloriginal parts including original front and rear bench seats, hood frame, full windscreen and fuel tank are included however these need refurbishing if the new custodian would like to convert the vehicle back to full road specification. The dashboard has the original gauges that have been mechanically rebuilt leaving the original AC faces on show.

The racer features an aluminium radiator, oil cooling system, Kenlow fan, bespoke shock absorbers andstainless steel exhaust system.  Furthermore all running gear has been totally nut and bolt rebuilt,
In addition to this the brake system includes braided brake hoses, uprated brake shoes with competition linings have been installed. The drivetrain has been rebuilt including bearings, seals, and crown wheel and pinion.
The Fuel delivery system includes a facet electric fuel pump in addition to this all electrical loom has been overhauled. Furthermore the wheelswere shot blasted, painted and sporting Dunlop L section competition tyres.
Other race specification features of the car includes aaluminium foam filed fuel tank, safety features including a battery cut off switch and fire extinguisher.
 PAR 419 Competition History
In 1953 the car had its feet first on the track at the Silverstone eights club event on the 6th of June, it then went on to make history as the first known AC to compete at Goodwood on 25th July and then once again on the 12th September. Additional eventsin 1953 included the Eastbourne rally and the Chichester Motor Club Concours. Only havinga single showing in 1954 when it competed at the Eights Club at Silverstone in May.  After a year off from the track it returned back to the Eights Club once again on the 2nd of June 1956. Then it attended the AC Owners club sprint meeting atBrands Hatch on the 16th September. It returned to the track the following year on the 1st June for a sprint , in the company of three drivers, Harold and Elizabeth Day also George Griggs. It then went on to compete in the Silverstone eights club once again, and lastly the Heston Concours 57’.
Just under a decade later the Buckland sprung onto Brands Hatch for a AC Owners Club Sprint in 1966 under new custodianship.Later in its life it competed in the Goodwood Revival in the Fordwater Trophy in 2015, exactly sixty two years to the day that H.Day competed in a Handicap race on the 12th September 1953. It most recently competed in the AC owners club sprint in November 2015 at Goodwood, and would have been awarded the Knickered Demon Trophy ( Fastest AC engined AC) if the Driver had been a club member.

1948 TRIUMPH ROADSTER 1800 With Dicky Seats

Finished in Midnight blue with contrasting pale blue upholstery- a colour scheme that we think suits the shape of these cars so well. Been with the last owner for around eight years during which time has see very little use but has been well kept and always garaged

Evidence clearly shows us that the car has received both body and mechanical restoration in the past. Coachwork has a really good depth of shine, but being an older paint finish does have the odd imperfections as one would expect on any old car of this age. Interior is particular nice having more recently benefited from re-upholstered seats/ new carpets and having had the walnut dash fully restored. Panel fit is very good all round, and door fit on this example is very good indeed. Black cloth hood again in very good condition with the correct rear window still in place. Most of the chrome-work looks to have been re-plated in the past with the exception of the little front quarter bumpers

Mechanically the car appears in good order, engine runs very sweetly with good oil pressure and has just been serviced with all oils and filters changed and new fuel pump fitted. Exhaust is not that old and still retains some silver paint on the silencer, Chassis all looks in fine order, and the wooden floors looked to have been replaced at some point in the past. All in this car represents a nice older part restored vehicle that clearly has been well looked after and certainly enjoyed. Ready for immediate use j"DEBIT/CREDIT/CARDS Taken (Delivery Service Available)
