1993 'K' Bentley Continental R
- 27,000 miles, stunning vehicle
An absolutely stunning low mileage example which is without question the very best available. Covered just 27,000 miles with two service books detailing previous maintenance at 398, 1035, 1950, 2433, 3510, 4511, 5544, 6647, 7786, 8527, 9564, 10280, 10901, 11727, 12311, 12726, 13491, 13958, 16930, 22068 and 25562 miles. The first 19 stamps by Jack Barclay, the last two Michael Powles and Cameron Lunt. Together with the service history we have full build and test history from the factory and full ownership history from DVLA, we also have every MOT for the vehicle, original sales brochures and press reviews and other associated documentation.
Supplied new by Jack Barclay to the Uk importer of Rolex Watches and built to his personal specification with a number of factory options, the car remained with the first owner until 2002 and was used sparingly as the service history demonstrates. The car then passed through two owners in two years before finding a home for the next ten years among the private collection of a very wealthy enthusiast, sharing garage space with some very exotic machinery indeed and covering very little mileage throughout his tenure.
To say the car has been pampered is a colossal understatement, as borne out by the extensive service records. The car has the appearance of a vehicle perhaps six months old, it really is a credit to the former keepers. We went over the car with a fine-toothed comb and struggled to find a single blemish. The car has had extensive undersealing and rust proofing as the enthusiast owner was keen to have his cars "as good underneath as they are on top" and this has preserved the car exceptionally well with no trace of rust and no sign of the previous renovation. The interior is spotless and gives the impression the car has never been sat in. Mechanically the car is quite superb, just as you would expect with such a low mileage and fastidious main dealer service history.
The car is finished in stunning special order Emerald green which the camera has failed to capture, giving the colour a turquoise hue in our photographs which is not apparent in the metal. The interior is trimmed with parchment hide with Spruce top roll, parchment bottom roll, parchment leather roof lining and spruce carpets, all of which are totally unmarked and "as new". In the boot, there is a full set of green lambswool over rugs. The original owner specified Bentley crests to the wood door cappings, rear picnic tables, rear reading lights, all speaker grilles and vent outlets to be colour coded to the leather surround and a Blaupunkt television and VCR. We have tested the television and it appears to be working however it will probably need converting/upgrading to receive a digital tv signal.
Specification of the period to include split level climate control air conditioning, electric seats, two-stage heated seats, cruise control, modern stereo system with CD changer, remote central locking, alarm, immobiliser, electric windows front, electric mirrors, heated mirrors, 16 inch wheels with matching Avon Turbospeed tyres all round, all with plenty of tread.
Supplied with 2 original keys, 1 remote locking fob, original book pack containing owners manuals, stamped service book etc.
The vehicle will be fully prepared and supplied with a new MOT upon sale. Interesting part exchange considered.
Cars in this condition are very few and far between, it is easily the best Continental we have ever seen and it will be exceptionally difficult to replace.
Classic Car Warehouse, prestige and performance cars, classic and modern. A family business established over 28 years, Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists.
N.B. Our premises are not a traditional car showroom, all our vehicles are stored indoors in a secure facility and it is not possible to view our cars when we are not there. We travel extensively sourcing and collecting cars so all viewings must, therefore, be arranged by appointment, thank you.

Spurr Classic Cars, Old Wheel, Rowell Lane, Loxley, Sheffield
South Yorkshire, S6 6SD

1960 VAUXHALL VELOX

Vauxhall Velox 1960. Manual. Steel grey over light blue.
Grey carpets. Crome wing mirrors.
Twin spotlights, period green sun visor.
Whitewall tyres with period wheel trims and Vauxhall caps.
Chrome tail pipes.
Other period features include white steering wheel, and bullet arm
rocker cover.

Originality is only once and this Velox exudes this along with care.
This Velox far exceeds the quality normally expected of a car from this period and is a strong contendor for the best 1960 Velox in existence, and makes history come alive again.
The Vauxhalls and Ford Zodiacs were the number one saloons to own in the '50s and '60s and they totally captivate the sound, imagination and feel of the Rock 'n' Roll culture, and make a lifestyle statement.
In fact they were an emblem and designed with Rock 'n' Roll music being played to the workers.

We feel these cars with the Zodiac and Zephyr should be in the £30,000 - £35,000 bracket such is their outstanding style and glamour and being a classic car since the 1960s we cannot understand why this has not happened.

To restore a Velox to this standard would cost in excess of £18,000, so we are asking £16,750, and would only want to sell it to a new owner who will appreciate, garage and care for it to the enduring quality of excellence already present.
Included with the history packs are previous MOTs to 1978 and tax discs.
Also a picture of a previous owner at a show being presented with a trophy by the Lord Mayor.

Viewing is essential and ramp facilities are available.
Large oval American style rear lights, with tail fins incorporating the indicators.
The engine sounds smooth and pulls strong.
The gearbox is excellent.
The paintwork absolutely gleams, and the bodywork and underside are solid, including the inner boot panels.
The engine bay still sparkles and has the original washer bottle and

1994 ASTON MARTIN VIRAGE VOLANTE 6.3 Litre
Ex HRH Prince of Wales

By Royal Appointment
Model: Aston Martin Virage Volante 6.3 Litre
Date of registration: 1994
Mileage: 35,000 miles
Colour: British Racing Green with Mushroom & Charcoal hides
Bodystyle: Convertible
Price: £POA
Firmly cementing a long-standing love affair between the Windsor household and Aston Martin, a replacement car for HRH The Prince of Wales’s V8 Vantage Volante PoW came along in 1994 in the shape of this stunning Virage Volante.  Following a similar theme, the Prince requested that the car retains the standard, and more discreet, narrow body whilst housing the much more powerful 6.3-litre version of the venerable Aston Martin V8 producing 456bhp.  Mated to a much sportier 5-speed manual transmission, rather than the more ubiquitous 4 speed auto of the time, the car is a true “wolf in sheep’s clothing”.  To assist with the power increase, the chassis modification also included sports suspension, 18” alloy wheels with Goodyear 285/45ZR18 tyres and vented and cross-drilled disc brakes at the front.  The front air dam came from the “wide-bodied” car which had bigger vents to aid with cooling.  This car is believed to be only one of 3 ever built in this configuration, and certainly, the only one ever to come with Royal provenance.  Finished in his favoured colour scheme of British Racing Green coachwork, a green Everflex roof and Mushroom & charcoal hides to the interior.  Chassis number 60107 is also fitted with enhanced communication equipment specified by his security detail and even retains its matching leather covered sugar cube jar for his polo ponies discreetly mounted in the centre console.
His Royal Highness used the car from new until 2007 whereupon
t returned to Aston Martin to be displayed within the Gaydon Production Facility until its sale in 2012 to a private collector.
Maintained only by Aston Martin’s own Works Service division and latterly Aston Martin of Edinburgh this car has now covered just 35,000 miles from new and is truly unique in being the only one of the 3 Aston Martin Volante ever publicly used by the Prince of Wales available on the open market.  For further information on this important Aston Martin, please contact Bryan McMorran on +44 (0)7767 660285 or e-mail bryan@abbeyfieldclassics.co.uk
