1959-1968 WOLSELEY 6/99, 6/110

Overview

The sharp lines of the BMC Farina range worked well on the large Wolseley 6/99 and 6/110. Sharing the same engine and bodyshell as the Austin Westminster and the Vanden Plas 3-Litre, the 6/99 was quite a prestigious and luxurious machine with its big 2912cc C-series engine giving a lazy but smooth 103bhp. All the extra Wolseley trim and interior touches were in place to pamper occupants. In 1961, a revamp saw the car metamorphose into the 6/110, with more power (120bhp) and improved handling from a Panhard rod back end and power-assisted steering.
