What needs to be said about the E Type? Still a total head turner even today. When it was announced in 1961 it caused a sensation. Production ended in 1976 with the V12. The car went through a few iterations and 3 distinct engine sizes from the 3.8 litre to the 5.3 litre.
The car offered as a mid period model. It’s a what was called the series 1.5 which featured the 4.2 litre version of the venerable XK engine. We bought this car in the US from a well know Jaguar collector and have just polished it a made it ready for sale.
Finished in suitably elegant colours of Maroon with Tan interior and with a Cream Mohair Hood it’s a very glamorous combination. The wire wheels are in fabulous condition and the car presents very well. We have got it running very smoothly and it benefits from new radiators, fans and a clutch master cylinder the car is ready to be driven.
We bought this car to restore but its actually good enough to be used as is. However it can be used as a rolling restoration or can have a complete restoration and upgrades.
