Even before famous Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari became a part of the Fiat conglomerate there was a strong relation between these two companies. The Fiat Dino is a striking example of this relationship: a car that benefited both Ferrari and Fiat in different ways.
Actually the “Dino” name was meant to become a separate marque for sports cars fitted with the small Ferrari V6 engine and developed both by Ferrari and Fiat. Ferrari held on to that intention and all Ferrari-produced Dinos left the Modena factory without the coveted Ferrari badges. Fiat on the other hand felt that it couldn't do without the advantages of the association of their products with the rich Ferrari racing heritage and so the Turin-produced Dinos were fitted with Fiat badges. This resulted in two lines of Dino sports cars: the GT models produced by Ferrari and the coupé and spider models made by Fiat. Nowadays, some thirty years later, Fiat Dinos are relatively rare but loved by a select group of people and slowly but surely getting more popular as a classic. Both the spider and the coupé feature attractive styling by renowned designers and the cars share the same thoroughbred engines with their Ferrari counterparts. They have an exciting performance, a luxurious interior and are fun to drive.
This 1972 Fiat Dino is finished in brown with a black interior has had only two owners from new and we have been informed has been driven by the previous owner every weekend for the past few years.
Knowing that it is a reliable and working Fiat Dino is made special by the understanding that it is a completely original matching numbers example, which has not undergone any major restoration in its lifetime. Supplied with an Italian 'Libretto' document, this is a charming and original car.

1967-1973 FIAT Dino Coupe 2000/2400

Overview

Though mechanically identical to the closely related Dino Spiders, the Coupé has a completely different body, designed by Bertone. The same changes were made in 1969, from 2.0 to a 2.4-litre quad-cam V6, along with a tougher ZF five-speed gearbox and the independent rear suspension swiped from underneath Fiat’s 130 saloon. The 2000 and 2400 bodies look identical at first sight, but changes in grille, badge and vent arrangements mean that only the bootlid is a straight swap between cars. The 2400 was assembled at the Ferrari factory.

1961 FIAT VIOTTI GRANLUCE - COYS AUCTIONS

We are aware of a technical problem with the following post and are trying to rectify the matter

"CLASSIC OF THE DAY"
 1961 FIAT VIOTTI GRANLUCE
221 - 1961 Fiat Viotti Granluce

Estimate: £12,000 - £14,000
Registration Number: Italian Registered
Chassis Number: 1115925
However, 1956 saw the unexpected and premature passing of its founder Vittorino Viotti, at just 55 years of age. The company's management passed to his cousin, Francesco Viotti, who extended production to new models, adding some affordable sporty models to the Giardinetta line, based on mass-produced Fiat models: first the Coupé based on the 600, then the Gran Turismo 1100/1200. This was another excellent intuition, but an even better one was that of offering the small 600 with a more spacious chassis than the Coupé, guaranteeing comfort for four passengers without giving up the attractive lines designed by the Turin designer Giovanni Michelotti. Thus another milestone in the story of Carrozzeria Viotti was created: the Granluce. The name, which means “great light”, referred to the large windows and the unique “hugging” windscreen, that gave a forward visual angle that was much better than the average. The Granluce was the perfect formula for customers wanting a contemporary model that was economical but exclusive, sporty but comfortable and far better than the mass-produced Fiat it was based on.
The 600 Granluce Viotti remained in production for almost a decade, updated according to the new fashion trends of the time, from the more “Americanized” version of 1957, with its tail fins, to the more sober and rational 1960 model, with tauter lines, better overhangs, a pronounced tail, and a curious feature, a large – and fake – chrome front grill, which was entirely useless since the engine was in the back.
This particular example, restored in 2005, having brand new paint, new interior and upholstery, with rebuilt mechanicals, is described by the vendor as being in lovely overall condition. Sold with its original Italian Libretto.
With approximately 100 examples built and less than 20 still surviving today, this represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire an incredibly special vehicle.
