1991 JAGUAR XJ XJ-S V12 LE MANS EDITION

The Jaguar XJS was a luxury grand tourer produced from 1975 through to 1996 and replaced the E-Type. Although it never had quite the same sporting image, the XIS was a competent grand tourer and actually more aerodynamic than the E-Type. To commemorate Jaguars success at the '24 heures du Mans' in 1988 and again in 1990 a limited edition 'Le Mans' model was introduced. The Le Mans Edition model added extra leather trim, 'Le Mans' motifs to headrests and foot plates, quad headlights, 'Growler' bonnet badge, 16" 'lattice' alloy wheels and a 'Le Mans' boot badge to the package. Each of the 280 cars produced was individually numbered.

Finished in striking Signal Red paintwork our Le Man is numbered 92/280 and has covered just 83,732 miles in its 27 years. Inside the beautiful Ivory leather with red piping complements and tones down the bright exterior. A grand tourer such as this was well appointed back in the day, features included power steering, electric windows, a radio cassette, heated seats and air conditioning - all the things we take for granted in the most basic of our day to day vehicles nowadays
.

Our car has just come out of long term ownership where the car has been cherished but hardly used - just 1,200 miles have been travelled in the past 11 years! Visually the car is stunning, the paintwork gleams and the wheels are all in a lovely condition fitted with Pirelli P6000 tyres that although having plenty of tread left it may be worth changing then due to age if you were to take the car high speed touring.

Inside, the seats, carpets and walnut veneer are in great condition only showing slight patina, the leather was certainly of a higher standard back then than the offerings of the later XK models!

The car has the original tool kit in the boot and also the original handbook pack which is in matching leather embossed with 'Le Mans V12', the service book is stamped up to 77,000 miles and the original Le Mans supplement book is present.

These Le Mans Editions are of the most sought after XJS models and a good usable car as clean as this could prove a wise buy. Available for pre viewing now the car is due to be serviced and a fresh MOT added soon.
