1967 TRIUMPH TR4A
For Restoration

1967 Triumph TR4A in need of a body-off restoration. Original colour white with black interior.
This car was discovered in an improvised barn in Pennsylvania, USA, where it sat for at least 20 years. We acquired it together with a TR250. Unfortunately, this TR4A was parked on soil, whereas the TR250 survived better because of a concrete floor.
A project for experienced restorers only. This car will need to be completely torn apart and rebuilt.
The engine is frozen. Standard 4-speed gearbox. Carburettors and air filters are missing, as well as several other items: spare wheel, all gauges, windscreen and door window glass, several trim items. Rare solid axle setup, with lear springs.
The chassis is in need of professional repair work. Both trailing arm outriggers are completely perforated, the breast plate needs to be replaced and some areas of the rear chassis beams need repair work. Not a job for inexperienced welders, but certainly doable. The body needs work in all of the typical weak spots: floors, sills and boot floor. The outer body panels need new repair sections around the rear of the car. Door skins are rusty and need repair/replacement.
The interior needs to be completely refurbished. Soft top frame included.
This TR4 can be inspected on appointment in our shop in Sint Anthonis, the Netherlands. It comes with a US title (Pennsylvania) and EU import documents (duties paid). Delivery throughout Europe can be arranged at extra costs.
Price: € 3.500
