This truly outstanding BMW 1602 is presented in show standard
condition. This is a unique opportunity to purchase a 1970’s BMW that
has been subject of a nut and bolt rebuild with no expense spared. This
is without doubt the very best 1970’s BMW we have ever seen and
restoring a similar car to this standard would cost considerably more
than our asking price. The car is a show piece and is first class in
every respect.
The body is truly outstanding with perfect straight panels and beautiful paintwork. The car was taken back to a bare shell and was fully rebuilt with photographic records. The engine bay has been detailed to the highest standard and the unit rebuilt and detailed prior to re-fit. Photographs of the engine removed and in stages of rebuild work are also in the history file. The car has been thoroughly restored mechanically and the interior smartly finished with a retro feel to it. The underside is as new, the boot area perfect and the car is wonderful to drive in every respect. Handling, braking, performance are all fabulous and the BMW is great fun.
We first sold this car last year to a customer in Cheshire; we had only had the car a few days before selling it. The car also featured in a ‘Joe Browns' marketing campaign whilst with us. The BMW has covered several hundred miles and been used for shows and weekend use. The car has only been driven in good weather and comes back to us in exactly the same condition. The BMW is now registered for historic tax and the car will be sold with a full 12 months MOT and fresh service.
