SHOWROOM STAR
FROM
1978 FORD TRANSIT CAMPER
Recent restoration of front end including a complete engine rebuild. A rare example of the MK1 Ford Transit which is increasing significantly in both rarity and in value.
Only 32,000 miles. Large photographic file showing restoration work.
Camper interior includes original working, oven, hob and fridge. Upholstery has been recovered with matching curtains.
The cab area is very clean and tidy with original seats. Dashboard in good condition as is the original rubber floor.
Recent 300 mile trip from South Wales to Yorkshire went without any problems (other than getting lots of attention at the service stations)!
4 Berth CI Motorhome rear which is clean and tidy. The oven, hob, fridge and sink all work as they should. Upholstery being newly replaced is both clean and undamaged.
The rear motorhome is original and has not been modified or restored in any way. The small was room at the back has the original drop down basin and space for a portaloo. The rear corner panel (laminate) does need replacing due to many years of splashing water. Not structural in any way and a straight forward job.
This vehicle is ready for the summer and can be used straight away.
The Mk1 Ford Transit is becoming increasingly valuable and this particular low mileage example will continue to appreciate over the coming years, especially when it drops into the Free Tax bracket in a few years time.
