Lancia's top-of-the-range Thema was built to bespoke order and powered by Ferrari's V8 32 valve, 3-litre engine. Here was a luxury, four-seater motor car with GT sports car performance. Top speed was 150mph with 0-60mph acceleration in 6.8 seconds. Options ordered with this car include electric sunroof, brown leather interior, air conditioning, electrically adjustable and heated front seats and adjustable rear seats.
A real 'Q car' if ever there was one, the newcomer came with a Ferrari 308, 32-valve V8 mounted transversely beneath the bonnet and, with 215bhp on tap, was capable of giving more exotic rivals a severe fright. Electronically controlled damping ensured correct suspension characteristics no matter what the driving conditions, while the luxuriously appointed interior went some way towards justifying the £43,200 price tag.
Just 2,370 8.32s, all left-hand drive, were built between 1988 and 1990, and the model can only become increasingly collectible.
The car we are offering today is a fine example with five-speed manual gearbox, equipped with alloy wheels and finished in Rosso Winner livery. The car is not restored with the interior in good condition. A very special opportunity to buy a rare Lancia equipped with the delectable Ferrari engine.
