1976 JENSEN INTERCEPTOR COUPE
Rare among the Interceptor variants and Jensen's swansong for the 70's at least. The Coupés are a largely unknown type and many people who might know a bit about Jensens have never actually seen one. A prototype was first shown at the October 1975 Earls Court Motor Show in London before financial receivers moved in, in 1976. The Coupe was distinguished by its coach built roof manufactured by Panther and featuring a smoked glass paneling running across the roof, around 46 Coupes were produced with only 20 being LHD. Our car 27111971 resided in California and has covered just 28,000 miles from new, having developed an issue in the early 80's and being put into storage until our acquisition in 2012. Upon its arrival 27111971 underwent a full sympathetic restoration and is now in exceptional condition and ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.

1970 JENSEN INTERCEPTOR II
£79,950

Finished in yellow with black leather interior
55,000 miles from new
Only one recorded lady owner form new

Supplied new by Jensen main agent Newbury Motors Ltd of Halesowen on 22 October 1970. Incredibly this stunning motor car has had only one registered owner since, a local lady who along with her husband completely and utterly cosseted and cherished her.
Since arriving with us we have commissioned a full strip-down and bare metal repaint at our trusted prize winning body-shop due to age related marks and imperfections. When stripped back the body was found to be in remarkable order, just as we expected. We also had some brightwork refinished, again not due to damage but minor age related fading, which we wanted perfected. Needles to say the re-fit included many new parts and new seals were used throughout. The results to this lengthy but sympathetic restoration are simply stunning. We have also given it a thorough mechanical check-over & service and can confirm she drives superbly.
This beautiful example comes complete with original service book, owners handbook, factory build sheets, original toolkit and a file of old MOT’s and invoices. This car offers a unique opportunity and is a very special example indeed of the rare Interceptor 2.

JENSEN INTERCEPTOR S - FENDER BROAD

Well the weekend is here again & the sun is still shining here on the West Wales coast.
To get you in the mood for a weekend of classic vehicle shows around the country, we have chosen one of the great Grand Touers of the past in the shape of
Jensen Interceptor S with a bit of a twist. Our choice comes from the stock of Fender Broad Classic Cars
JENSEN INTERCEPTOR S

This car was built in 2009/10 to a customers specific requirement. It is an Interceptor S which means an original Mk III Jensen Interceptor, stripped of exterior paint, all panelwork restored and repainted in Bentley Bourneville.

The interior was fully restored with Bridge of Weir leather in red and new Smiths instruments, Moto Lita steering wheel, carpets and trim.
All exterior brightwork was refurbished and the car reassembled with a brand new GM powertrain comprising LS3 engine (430bhp), 4 speed electronic auto box, all ECU controlled and new wiring throughout the car.
The rear suspension was significantly modified & re-engineered with a bespoke built idependent rear setup (including limited slip differential) replacing the cart springs and live axle.
Front suspension was entirely rebuilt with upgraded rack, and modified geometry, all to improve ride, handling and responsiveness. Brakes are heavily modified with 330mm front rotors and AP 6 pot calipers with Jaguar sourced 280mm rear discs and calipers.
The exhaust system was custom built in 2.5" bore stainless steel and a 63 litre fuel tank was specially constructed to fit with the new rear suspension. Wheels are 17" x 7" based on the original 15" Jensen 5 spoke design and accomodate larger, modern tyres.
The overall effect is a period Interceptor Saloon, blended with modern powertrain and running gear that imbue impressive performance within the original Italian styling. Performance is low 4 secs for 0-60, top speed 165 mph but capable of returning a fuel consumption of up to 24mpg.
