1949 Jaguar MK IV 2½ litre Sports Saloon

A charming example, in very good condition throughout, which was the subject of a thorough but sympathetic restoration about 18 years ago, resulting in a correct and authentic car. Amongst various information in the car's history file are photos of the restoration work carried out, as well as more recent invoices for parts and maintenance work, an original handbook and a more recent workshop manual. Nicely painted in black and silver/grey, with lovely chrome work, clean & tidy throughout with an appealing air of originality, particularly from the lovely brown leather interior. Starts nicely and runs very well. The car was supplied new by Wales & Edwards of Shrewsbury in February 1949, registered FAW 54, and we are making attempts to have this number reinstated. This is not guaranteed, but we will do our best! Whatever happens, it's a lovely car.
