1999 TVR CHIMAERA 400

This TVR is finished in Metallic Red with cream leather interior

Comments: This later Chimaera is fitted with the 4-litre version of the Rover V8, producing around 240 bhp and has the later stronger T5 gearbox. Previously prepared and sold by TVR specialist Jame Agger to the last owner this is a fine example with a good chassis. It will be supplied serviced, with 12 months MOT and a 3 month/3,000 mile warranty

1926 SUNBEAM 3.0-LITRE SUPER SPORTS

This glorious Sunbeam 3.0-Litre Super Sports Tourer, YN 7831, campaigned and won the Essex Six-Hour race held at Brooklands in 1927, driven by George Duller.

One of two ‘Works’ entries to this race. It was considered lost for some years but discovered on an airfield near Bristol after the War. The original chassis was rebuilt in the 1960s using original Sunbeam 3.0-Litre parts.

A more than credible alternative to the Bentley 3.0-Litre, the Sunbeam is likely lesser-known, but infinitely rarer, superbly constructed, marginally quicker (!) and still a world-beater…

The engine was completely rebuilt and fitted with new block circa 1995. After many years, numerous miles and countless fond memories this special Sunbeam is now offered from long-term ownership where it has been regularly and enthusiastically driven and cherished.

It is accompanied by two great tomes of history file with period photographs, original buff logbook, and records of considerable work undertaken during the last fifty years….

1971 VOLKSWAGEN KARMANN GHIA CABRIOLET

After producing the people’s car for so many years VW had to improve their image and the Karmann Ghia was the solution.

Long noted for its exterior styling, the Karmann Ghia was designed with input from numerous individuals at Carrozzeria Ghia and was strongly influenced by Virgil Exner’s work, though all of its designers passed without a definitive individual attribution of the styling ever made.

The production ended in 1973, so this 1971 example was amongst the last derivative before the ghastly rubber bumpers were fitted on the final cars.

She lived in the USA until 1998 and then was bought and imported by a Brit whilst he was on his holiday using her for a couple of weeks instead of a boring Hertz hire car!

Finished in rare Willow green with black leather interior she escaped the rust issues affecting European cars.

She has only had light restoration whilst in the UK and was painted over 20 years ago but still in superb condition today, maintained well by the last owner for 12 years.

On the road, she impresses with a solid reliable feel only a VW can provide.
