Still displacing 353 cubic inches but with power output now up to 130
brake horsepower at 3,400 rpm, Cadillac’s V-8s for 1935 came in three
separate series, the Series 10 on a 128” wheelbase, Series 20 with 136”
wheelbase and Series 30 with 146” wheelbase. There were thirteen designs
available in the Fisher bodied Series 10 and 20 and they are some of
the most attractively designed and well-proportioned body shapes of the
Classic Era. They gracefully combine traditional classic design elements
with the then emerging art and science of aerodynamics. None are more
attractive than the 128” wheelbase Series 10 Coupe, a car that is
gorgeously balanced and streamlined.
This 1935 Cadillac Model 355E Series 10 Coupe gracefully wears a proper older restoration, and shows consistent care and maintenance. Equipped with a V-8 and three-speed manual transmission, it has recently been refinished in an eye-catching cream yellow and has body color wire wheels, wide whitewall tires, a rear-mounted spare, rumble seat, Goddess radiator ornament and brown cloth interior. In sound running and driving condition, this very pretty and straight car has received all necessary attention when and as needed. With some of the most attractive and practical coachwork ever designed for a classic V-8 Cadillac, it is an incredibly usable and pleasing vintage automobile and a CCCA Fully Classic ™ that is eligible for the club’s many tours and events.
