1957 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER CLOUD I
DROPHEAD COUPE Adaptions by H.J MULLINER
Previously owned by: SIR KEN ADAM

This car is one of three right-hand-drive Silver Cloud I original Drophead CoupĂ© Adaptations by H.J. Mulliner, making it a most rare and desirable offering. It has been based in London virtually since new, having originally been delivered in July 1959 to A. Robert Gooda, of Goodhale Engineering Ltd., who was a devout Bentley and Rolls-Royce enthusiast and a great customer of the factory. Mr Gooda specified to have the car built with several bespoke options, as is indicated by original build records. The car is well documented, including mentions in several archival publications, most prominently Lawrence Dalton's Rolls-Royce: The Classic Elegance, James Taylor's Original Rolls-Royce and Bentley 1946–65, and Davide Bassoli's definitive work on the model, Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining.

Mr Gooda owned his Silver Cloud I until 1975, when it was sold to its second owner, Sir Ken Adam, the renowned British film production designer who is best remembered for his work on the classic James Bond films. He designed every set on the first eleven Bond films from Dr.No through to Moonraker, and has been credited with stamping the Bond "look" on screen. Sir Ken has been nominated three times for an Academy Award and has won twice.
Sir Ken was a great fan of this Rolls-Royce, and for many years during his long career, the car was shipped to wherever he was working, all over the world. Even when he travelled to Hollywood the Silver Cloud I followed him, accompanied by its own driver. It was a common sight in the movie studios' backlots in Hollywood.

The car is presented wearing an older but presentable Porcelain White repaint, as well as a lovingly much-patinated red leather interior with wool carpeting and exquisite wood veneer trim, all of which is believed to be highly original. It is an honest automobile that looks exactly like what it is: a Rolls-Royce that has been owned and used for enthusiastic touring all over the world by the same owner for the last four decades.

Here is a quotation from Sir Ken.
"One night, many years ago, I saw it in the window of a used car dealership near my house. The next day I went in to buy it but they told me: 'you're not the right person for this Rolls.' And I said: 'well, how do you know?' Actually, the man who ran the business was very nice. He was an old ex-naval commander, and I was pretty young. He just thought it was not the right type of car for me – that I was more of 'a sports car person'. Still I thought the Rolls was very pretty and so I bought it anyway. It cost something like £20,000, which I could afford – I can't remember exactly how much.
I've always loved cars. I've had E type Jaguars and a Mercedes 540K. The Mercedes was super-charged which was fantastic even though it guzzled so much petrol, which was a problem after WWII because of the fuel rationing. I guess a two-door Rolls Royce convertible is something like their sports car version; or as close to a sports car a Rolls can get.
Until recently I used the Rolls more or less every day; for example to go to the swimming pool, a 15-minute drive from my house in Kensington. Now I don't really need it anymore so I keep it in the garage. I have only pleasant memories of my Rolls. I can't remember that it ever let me down. I've used it all over Europe: I drove with it to Italy and Spain, to France, everywhere. It has travelled over 250,000 miles."
This car drives beautifully, the factory-fitted PAS tracking unusually straight and true. A very collectible car with a unique

1960 TRIUMPH TR3A

The Triumph TR3a was produced from 1957 until 1962. It's a typically British 2 seater sports car from the late 1950s and early 60's They were great fun to drive, and being fitted with a 95BHP engine, motored along very well in the day.

The car we offer for sale here was first registered in 1960. Finished in British Racing Green with a Grey leather interior. The car is in beautiful condition, and does drive particularly well. But then it wold, because this is no standard TR3a. The history file with the car dates back to 1991 when a full rebuild by one of the top vehicle restorers of the time, with bills at the time for a full body and engine rebuild costing around £11000 which was a huge sum of money back then.

But the history of the car doesn't stop then. There has been a constant history of maintenance and improvement done to the car, work done included:
Engine 1991cc.
Fast Road Cam
Roller Rocker Gear
Oil Cooler
Alloy Large Capacity Sump
Alloy Radiator
Kenlow Fan
Slotted Front Discs
Alloy Rear Brake Drums
Rack & Pinion Steering
Revington TR Wiring Loom
Uprated Overdrive Unit
Uprated Front & Rear Springs
Spax Adjustable Front Shock Absorbers
Front Anti Roll Bar
Aeroquip Brake Hoses
High Torque Starter Motor
Stainless Steel Sports Exhaust
To say a car has been maintained regardless of cost would epitomise this car. The bills invoice and receipts in the file total around £40000. So its been cared for like a Cherished Treasure, but she's also been used.

Events such as the Three Castles, Prix des Alpes to name but two have seen this fabulous TR take part, and the car achieved success on more than one occasion.
If you fancy trying your hand at Classic Rallying then this car would be absolutely ideal coming already fitted with Twin Fuel system, Twin electrics, the Terratrip and, well just so much more.

At £29995 this car cold be considered something of a bargain when you consider how much it would cost to buy a TR3a, and then bring it up not only to this level of Spec, but also the absolutely outstanding condition this car is in today.

1957 AUSTIN A95 SIX WESTMINSTER AUTO SALOON
(Power Steering)

Documented low mileage car with only 40000 miles from new. Finished in mid grey with a white flash which is nicely complemented by a mid-green leather trim piped in ivory. This truly lovely car has covered an incredible mileage of just 40000 miles from new (in 58 years) which is fully documented in the history folder and on the MoT certificates. This is a totally mint and original example of this marque of car which, as any Austin enthusiast will tell you, is extremely rare to find. The original registration number ULF 373 still adorns the car and this valuable number is transferable and even the original number plates are still fitted. The car resided in a dehumidified and heated storage unit from 1971-1988, a total of 17 years. It made a brief appearance before being stored again from 1992-1996 adding only very few miles during these periods. The car was purchased by its last owner in June 2010 with 35800 miles on the speedometer. A re-spray was undertaken by this keeper to bring the car up to his exacting standards. This is the only cosmetic work carried out on the car. The last owner then fitted a brake servo system to upgrade the brakes and to make it safer for todays motoring. He also fitted Otto electric steering to the car to make the car more pleasurable to drive. Both units are fitted discreetly and are mostly hidden and the car remains original and in perfect condition in every other way.It has to date covered a total of just 40000 miles and is powered by a fast and reliable 6 cylinder 2699cc petrol engine with an automatic gearbox and with the benefit of power steering making it a very easy to drive classic car. The history folders includes, a history write up, images of the car, a mileage history report starting in 1957 to 2015 with year by year mileage records, previous road fund licences, current and previous V5s, previous MoT certificates confirming the genuine mileage, MoT related paperwork, MoT document holders, HPi certificate, various invoices totalling circa £4.5k for maintenance/upkeep and upgrades, list of shows at which the car has attended, winners plaque from Museum of Transport and the Radcliff Fayre, various write ups and articles on Austin vehicles. The motor car is fitted with the following, electric Kenlow fan, Kenlow hot start system, adjustable fuel regulator, twin horns, chrome rocker top cover, Servo brakes, wing mirrors plus one door mirror (fitted to the quarter light), Austin emblem to bonnet
