1930 ROLLS ROYCE PHANTOM II
In The Style of Park Ward 4-Seater Coupe
Chassis No 137GY

Registration Number: DS 8181 (Originally UY 3537 – see text below.)
137GY was first delivered to a Mrs C H Palethorpe on the 13 February 1931. Originally fitted with Pullman Limousine coachwork by Barker; this car remained in the UK until 1969. The car was then sent to the USA, specifically California. Having passed through the hands of several owners in California, 137GY was bought by Roger Fry of Kalamunda, Western Australia in October 1986.
Whilst in the ownership of Mr Fry the car was the subject of a major restoration. The coachwork has been built in the style of a Park Ward four seater coupé similar to the 1930 Phantom II chassis number 195GY and illustrated on P.178 of Those Elegant Rolls-Royce by Lawrence Dalton. It is a credit to the restorer that they chose coachwork of this complexity rather than the usual open tourer or boat deck bodied replica which is more commonly seen. Great attention has been paid to detail throughout the restoration, resulting in a superb car.
Upon completion of the thorough restoration, 137GY was returned to the UK in 1989. It was at this time that the car was re-registered with the DVLA and was assigned its current registration number DS 8181.
Mechanically the car is presented in superb condition. As recently as 2015, 137GY was fitted with a new petrol tank manufactured to original pattern and the radiator was re-cored. Subsequently, Fiennes Restoration has undertaken a recommissioning of the car after a period in storage, with particular attention paid to the steering and the brakes, and including a full overhaul of the carburettor. Work undertaken within the last 6 months includes fitting a brand new cylinder head.
The finished car now runs well, is sure to turn heads, and will be wonderful for touring. We invite you to view and test drive the car to enable you to appreciate its qualities.
Thanks to the current owner's meticulousness, there is also extensive and thorough documentation of the car's history, restoration and maintenance work.

1961 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA SPRINT - Manor Classic Cars Ltd York North Yorkshire

1961 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA SPRINT

A former Rally of the Tests winning steed (2017), this Alfa Romeo is the ideal entrant for Winter Challenge, Classic Marathon , Rally of the Tests, and a plethora of club and international events.
Sourced and imported from Norway in 2008, #353276 was originally restored and prepared for motorsport in 2001 by Saul Manashe in Norway.  It has been comprehensively prepared, fettled and upgraded by Kevin Savage Motorsport of Lancashire and now features full roll cage, uprated shock absorbers, an engine coolant header tank, limited slip differential, comfortable rally-grade front seats, additional instrumentation and two Cibie Oscar driving lamps.
Our car was sourced and developed for known Irish motorsport competitor, Dermot Carnegie, at a cost of more than £32,000 in 2008 with invoices detailing the considerable work undertaken and all available for viewing.   Dermot campaigned the car successfully winning the Winter Trial and Rally of the Tests in 2010, all the while having the car maintained and prepared by Savage.
Amongst the many invoices from Carnegie’s ownership, perhaps the most notable reference a gearbox rebuild in December 2010 (£3,300), and engine rebuild in November 2011 at a cost of £5,700, which resulted in a recorded 137bhp on the rolling-road.
The reins passed in 2013 to the current keeper with whom many further successes have been enjoyed, always under the watchful eye and reassurance of being Savage Motorsport maintained.
In total, there are too many invoices to do justice to the car here, but suffice to say they combine to further evidence the winning-capability of this Alfa Romeo, and those who travel to view the car will be richly rewarded by the level of detail and expertise that they document within.
Accompanied with FIVA Identity Card dated 2013, and MSA/FIA Historic Regularity Rally Log Book numbered 10/009 & signed and dated 2010, save for minor preparation works to comply with individual rally regulations, this is a turn-key competitive entrant to a host of blue-ribband events.
Priced incredibly sensibly, we dread to think what the replacement cost may be today…..
“Cars with a purpose” is our favourite stock-offering, & they don’t get much more determined than this!

Here is an immaculate example of a very rare BMW, the 850 CSI.
BMW didn’t ever actually build an M8, other than 1 prototype, so the 850 CSI is as close as it got. It was the only E31 model to be produced and developed by BMW Motorsport division, in very limited numbers. Only 160 RHD drive cars were produced. They re engineered the M70 V12, producing the heavily modified S70 unit unique to the 850 CSI. This featured increase stroke and bore making this V12 a 5.6. Using lightweight pistons, aggressive timing (with selectable sports mode) resulted an increase in power to an impressive 380 BHP. But its not just the extra power that makes this engine special, its delivers the power in true ‘M’ style, very quick to rev with a lovely ‘rasping’ soundtrack when pushed. The CSI model also featured a 6 speed manual gearbox, uprated brakes and suspension, along with the bodywork and interior upgrades unique to this model.
This particular car is in amazing condition, ready to show. the drive and performance is excellent. The service history is superb, with a folder full of  old MOT’s and service receipts etc, showing how well this car has been maintained.
Bodywork
Finished in Calypso Red Metallic. The paintwork as you can hopefully see, is in superb condition. There is a really deep all over shine, absolutely no dings or dents , no scratches. You will not find a more immaculate example.
Underneath this BMW is just as good, its in excellent, solid condition.
The BMW M system II ‘Throwing Star’ lightweight alloys are all in as new condition, including the spare. All tyres are also in excellent shape.
Interior
The interior of this example is superb. A really lovely, two tone Silver / Grey colour scheme. Its top quality extended leather here , with supportive sports seats, an unmarked deep pile carpet., excellent headlining etc.
The boot and engine bay are just as good. The M Sport engine covers on top of this 5.6 V12, look amazing.
Summary
The E31 8 series this car is based on make for an excellent classic purchase,  the 850 CSI takes the 8 series to the next level,  the performance and handling from this car is amazing. This package makes for the perfect weekend car.
It will stand out at any car show and its likely to be a very rare sight, they do not come up very often.
So here’s your chance to grab a very rare part of the BMW Motorsport history.
