1987 ASTON MARTIN V8 VANTAGE ZAGATO

Aston Martin’s response to the super car battle of the late 1980s,
between Ferrari’s 288 GTO and the Porsche 959, the V8 Vantage Zagato
production was limited to just 50 cars, of which just 23 were completed
in right hand drive.
Fitted with a 435 bhp version of the Aston Martin 5.3 litre Vantage ‘X’ pack engine, mounted in a lightened chassis and shortened body by Italian Carrozzeria Zagato, the Vantage Zagato has subsequently gained a hardcore following in Aston Martin and collector circles. Timed on the legendry Mulsanne straight at Le Mans in 1986, the Vantage Zagato’s top speed was recorded at 186 mph, with 0-60 mph reached in 4.8 seconds.
The distinctive and striking car we are pleased to offer, fitted with upgraded suspension and sports exhaust, is one of just 2 coupes built and delivered in the distinctive Aston Martin Zagato Fury Yellow. This superb condition example has had only three collector owners from new and has covered a minimal 9,200 miles in total. Supplied new by Nicholas Mee the car has been maintained by Aston Martin and NM&Co. A substantial file accompanies the car, with the original tool roll and jack.
