FRIDAY FAVOURITE
FROM
1947 MORRIS 8-SERIES "E" SALOON
A beautifully restored example of the ever-popular Morris 8, this being the later ‘E’ Series type with 4-speed gearbox and hydraulic brakes, making it a very useable classic motor car. The car is a credit to the elderly gentleman who carried out the restoration over a two year period, and parted with it reluctantly, due to his advancing years.
A thorough job was made of the restoration, both mechanically and bodily, as you can see from the photographs. The bodywork is truly superb, with everything fitting properly and the paint finish is excellent. The exterior is complemented by a fully re-trimmed interior, and the underside, engine bay and wheels are all mint. The tyres, exhaust and battery, have of course, been replaced and there are new brake pipes all round and a new wiring loom etc etc. V5C.
