1974 JAGUAR E-TYPE SERIES 3 V12 ROADSTER
One of the last fifty commemorative E-Types despatched on July 11th 1974, through Byatts of Fenton to its first owner in West Bromwich. With only fourowners from new, this E-Type is one of the rarer manual gearbox cars and is finished in black paintwork with cinnamon interior as were 49 of the 50 commemoratives. Today it has just 24,813 recorded miles and remains in excellent condition.
Classic Motor Cars Limited carried out a sympathetic restoration of this low mileage example during 2003 and 2004, having dismantled the vehicle so that a bare metal repainting could take place.
Engine and gearbox were removed and all ancillaries checked and serviced. The cylinder heads were removed as well in order to inspect its bores and valves.
As part of the reconditioning process, the complete braking system was replaced and a stainless steel exhaust system was fitted. Front and rear suspension was also removed and all components were cleaned, tested and inspected before being refitted.
New tyres were fitted along with a new mohair hood. The interior remains completely original and in excellent condition.
This great car is ready for an owner wishing to either enjoy it as a driving car, show it or just hold it as a sensible investment in a serious piece of Jaguar history
