EQUIPMENT
Bi-xenon headlights, PCCB ceramic brakes, Porsche CDR24, FM/AM radio and CD player, Floor mats, Top tint windscreen, Schroth racing harnesses, Black safety rollcage, PASM, Sport button, Climate control and Air conditioning.

EXTERIOR
Presented in black with contrasting orange decals on the side and rear, this example of Porsche’s legendary GT3 RS is a real head-turner.

The paintwork on this example presents well, the solid black coat that is so easily prone to swirl marks has been lavished with attention from our in-house team of detailing experts to ensure a mirror finish. Orange is also used on the door mirrors and rear spoiler ends to match decals and wheels with carbon fibre shaping the huge rear wing finishing off a very fluid and pure body shape. Arguably the 997.1 the prettiest of any of the modern 911 RS specials.

INTERIOR
The black interior is in excellent condition, free of any tears or major marks. The lightweight bucket seats, made from carbon fibre composite materials are clad in high quality alcantara leather with black road belt, the red Schroth racing harnesses stored in the front.. Alcantara is also used for the gear lever knob, steering wheel rim and headliner, all of which remain as new.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The exceptionally powerful, rear-mounted, horizontally-opposed, ‘boxer’ six-cylinder engine in the RS is shared with the standard GT3, but revs up even more dynamically and spontaneously. With a stamped up service book from both Main dealers and specialist along with a folder full of invoicing detailing further maintenance work the engine and mechanicals of this RS are in excellent condition with rev range ignitions clear from 3-6.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 19-inch wheels are in orange, matching the body-side RS emblems. recently refurbished they are pristine and clad in N2 rated Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. Original fit ceramic brakes with yellow calipers provide the stopping power on this track special which bring it to a halt remarkably quickly and efficiently.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Porsche Guildford this RS was then first serviced as per its recommended schedule by Porsche Centre Reading @ 4824 miles in 2008.

Further services have all been carried out at both official Porsche centres and at specialists at the correct intervals.

The service book and owners manuals are present with a folder full of documented invoices alongside 3 keys.

Please visit our website for a full write up and additional photographs.

The car is supplied having had an extensive intake inspection. Warranty, Finance, Part Exchange and Worldwide shipping are all available on request.

MODEL HISTORY

The ‘RS’ badge holds the greatest fascination for Porsche fans and has been applied sparingly to 6 generations of Porsche cars since the 70s instantly turning these machines into motoring legends.
First introduced in 1972 to homologate the 911 Carrera 2.7. Porsches focus has never changed throughout the decades and each RS car goes through a strict weight loss program focused on race series homologation or more recently, in creating the ultimate in track focused driving tools.
The 911 GT3 RS (type 997) was introduced in 2006 based on the existing GT3 and introduced as a homologation special. The RS was of course lighter, 20Kgs lighter, achieved by the use of an adjustable carbon fibre wing, a plastic engine cover and a lightweight plastic rear window. The resulting weight 1,379Kg giving the car a 300bhp per tonne power to weight ratio. The 3.6 Metzger engine from the GT3 remained unchanged but instead coupled to a close ratio 5 speed gearbox with a single mass flywheel allowing it to rev more freely.
The paint scheme and body panels were specifically designed for the RS and its new body was wider by 44mm at the rear allowing for an increase in the rear track and as such improving directional stability but also cornering grip and roll. The wheel base was also extended 5mm for further stability, all this combined with factory issued super sticky Michelin Cup tyres and increased down force from the rear wing made for a formidable road or track machine.

DRIVING
Just one thing we have to repeat time and time again.....

THE NOISE!

Did we just say OH THE NOISE....

What a wonderful thing to drive, This car is not a wolf in sheeps clothing, Nor is it a sheep in wolfs clothing, it is neither of these yet it is all of them, in fact this wondeful car has the heart of a lion and yet the deftness of a mouse. She can be anything you want her to be.

She plays at being a sports car, a luxury cruiser, a wind in the hair convertible, a practical shopping car. Anything you choose.

She is comfortable and luxurious, she is Sumptious and High Quality, She is relaxing and steady, but open her up.......

She is now tenacious, a Rip snorting attack on the senses and a bucking & riving drivers car that will teach you the art of driving a Machine.

She is more than just the some of her parts, She is highly desirable and sought after.

She is ICONIC......

HISTORY FILE

Every girl has a history, a story to tell ,some better than others, This is an unsullied lady with plenty of sophistication, to be part of her future your going to have to treat her with respect.

A delightfully original & unrestored early suffix A example which still wears original paint. The subject of a comprehensive feature in the January 2015 edition of Land Rover Monthly magazine, some of the photos of which can be seen here. It is the opinion of both myself and the journalist of the article that a more original and well preserved example would be impossible to find. We have found no evidednce of welding or structural repairs anywhere on the vehicle and the paintwork, most of which appears original, although not perfect has mellowed very nicely with age. The seats have been re trimmed due to the usual cracking of the original palamino vinyl seats, this was done by Nationwide Trim, following the original style very closely. The rest of the interior including the headlining and rubber flooring is original & correct, right down to the original and now almost impossible to source choke lever. In 2002 the vehicle was subject to a very through and sympathetic re commissioning which involved replacing numerous suspension bushes, hoses and rubber componenets along with gaskets, timing chains and a major service. The result of this work is a vehicle that now drives as tight and straight an any example you are likely to fine anywhere. This now represents a unique opportunity to acquire a very special early 2 door Range Rover, the like of which is unlikely to ever be offered again.

1970-1995 RANGE ROVER Classic

Overview

Inventor of the SUV and a classless conveyance, the Range Rover introduced the joys of off-roading to a whole new clienetele. Powered by Rover’s ex-Buick V8 and using similar chassis technology as the Land Rover, its off-road ability was beyond reproach, while the hose-clean interior proved just the ticket for those with an active lifestyle. The styling was so clean that the Range Rover was at home in the politest places. It became more luxurious through the years, but its appeal remained undimmed during a 25-year production run.

1971 LAMBORGHINI MIURA P400S - AMARI SUPER CARS GB

"CLASSIC OF THE DAY"
SUPERCAR SUNDAY
After our look at the Veteran Cars available over the past week from Gavin McGuire & Bonhams, we move forward today with a look at an Icon of more modern times. Times have changed from the days of the man with the Red Flag though that has been superseded by the metal man painted in yellow & grey. There is only one way to start our look at Supercars and that is with Lamborghini, our first up comes from AMARI
1971 LAMBORGHINI MIURA P400S

1971 LAMBORGHINI MIURA P400 S

ASKING PRICE: £999,995
MANUAL TRANSMISSION
FUEL: PETROL
BODY STYLE: COUPE
COLOUR: BLU-NOTTE

We are extremely proud to offer this fabulous Miura for sale, probably the best example of such a car for sale anywhere in the world.

Even greatness can be improved upon. In 1968, Lamborghini introduced its updated Miura P400S, which featured a V-12 with revised camshafts that was good for a power output of over 370 horsepower and was mounted on a stiffened chassis.
This model was, in turn, followed by the epically exciting, ultimate production Miura, the P400SV, which was first shown at Geneva in 1971.
The SV offered even greater performance and improved handling, and it boasted 385 horsepower, with separate lubrication for the engine and gearbox, a limited-slip differential, completely revised suspension, and a leather interior. The rear track was widened five inches, to accommodate wider wheels, which necessitated the Dino-like “flaring” of the rear body panels. Most menacingly of all were the distinctive laid-back headlamps, which lost their “eyelashes” in favour of the masculine plain black surrounds.

With a top speed of 180 mph, it is no wonder that numerous owners of earlier Miuras elected to have their automobiles upgraded to this ultimate specification.

The P400S offered here is an original United Kingdom-delivery example that was supplied to its first owner, rock legend Rod Stewart, by Lamborghini Concessionaires Ltd. of Alie Street, London.
A copy of its original records, which were kept by Derek Hopkins of said dealership, is included in the file. Also included in the file is a copy of the original delivery sheet, which notes the car as having right-hand drive, factory air conditioning, and seatbelts.
The file also has a copy of a photo of Stewart’s then girlfriend, model Dee Harrington, with two Miuras, one of which is an S with this car’s original British registration, JLL 831K.

The car passed from Rod Stewart through to owners in Wiltshire, Kent, and Cambridge. In 1976, the Miura was acquired by Clive Hugo Nagel, and then it passed to Michael Baker, of Horley, in April 1983. The car was then acquired by the present British caretaker, who has retained ownership of it for the past two decades.
As such, this Miura has known ownership history since new.

The current owner selected to transform this car into the SV specification, with the necessary front and rear clam modifications, suspension upgrades, and rear lights. Importantly, the car’s bulkhead, engine, and chassis all bear correct numbers for the original S, and they are original to the car.

More recently, the Miura has been restored in its SV configuration by noted marque specialist Colin Clarke Engineering.
Suspension, steering, brakes, and hubs were all rebuilt to concours condition, and all components have been properly and correctly finished.
An exhaustive overhauling of the wiring, dashboard instruments, supply lines, and tyres was undertaken, and the steering and suspension have all been laser-aligned.
The body was beautifully refinished in the factory colour of Blu Notte, and it has black leather upholstery of the correct pattern and correct carpets.
The Miura also has its original front windscreen and side glass, which remain in excellent condition.
The SV conversion and recent restoration work undertaken has cost approximately £100,000.

It really does need to be seen to be appreciated, it look like a brand new Miura.

This Miura is beautifully presented and ready for show. It is a rare configuration that has the highest possible performance and the most beautiful colours.
It is as exciting today as it must have been for its original owner, “Rod the Mod”, back in 1971.

The car is presented with a beautiful file, showing many photos of its restoration along with invoices and documents, including the original bill of sale.

Please note, some of the photos used are from a previous photoshoot.
This car deserves the best weather for us to do our usual photos, so they will be done as soon as we can.

We welcome international enquiries and can arrange shipping anywhere in the world.

1968-1971 LAMBORGHINI Miura P400 S

Overview

If the 350/400GTs paved the way for Lamborghini to become a major player in the supercar scene, the trendsetting Miura left Ferrari floundering in its wake. At a time when mid-engined cars were very much for competition and niche cars, Lamborghini embraced the layout for its range-topping sports car. For many, the Miura was the first supercar. It wasn’t without faults – if you were tall, forget driving it, and if you wanted to go fast, you had to compensate for its flexing chassis and iffy aerodynamics. But despite that, it’s an all-time great, and one that remains undervalued.

"CLASSIC OF THE DAY"
RICHARD EDMONDS AUCTION
Saturday 25th October 2014

Lot 1761

[Image: illustration 1 of 14 for lot 1761]

Lot 1761 Description

1962 TRIUMPH HERALD COUPE

Reg. no. 474 XPL
Chassis no. GA 31939CP
Engine no. YC6026OHE

Estimate: £4,500 - 5,000

Condition Report or Notes

This lovely example of the rarer Herald Coupe was purchased by the vendor in 2004 and has been the subject of much work and expenditure since that time. The list of work includes new lower quarter panels, replacement sills and a complete brake system overhaul including the fitment of larger calipers for improved braking. New front wheel bearings and trunnions have been fitted and the gearbox overhauled including new bearings and syncromesh units (the vendor advises us that the gearbox is a little noisy and may require further attention). A larger 1500 cc engine has been installed which has been tuned by the fitment of twin 40 DCOE Weber carburettors and a gas-flowed Spitfire exhaust manifold. The cylinder head has been polished and the crankshaft balanced. The flywheel has also been lightened. The electrical system has been converted to negative earth and an alternator replaces the dynamo for improved reliability. The vast majority of this work is supported by a file of invoices and receipts. The result is a stunning example of the marque which is in excellent condition both inside and out. The car has an MOT certificate that expires in July 2015 and a road fund license that expires in April 2015.

1959-1964 TRIUMPH HERALD COUPE

Overview

By a couple of weeks, this was actually the first Herald model to be launched, and was what Michelotti’s Herald prototype had looked like. Initially all Coupés were sold with a twin-carb version of the 948cc engine, though this was increased to a single-carb 1147cc along with the rest of the range in 1961. Front disc brakes became optional just before the engine swap. All but very early cars had strengthening ribs on the hardtop behind the side windows. Though undoubtedly pretty and sought after today, the Coupé proved a poor seller and was discontinued in 1964.
