1969 MERCEDES-BENZ 280SE CABRIOLET

Mercedes-Benz’s elegant Paul Bracq-designed W111 made its debut in 1959 and was produced, in its many variations, through 1971. Among the most desirable variations were the two-door models—the 280 SE Cabriolet and Coupe—which were expensive, virtually hand-built automobiles hailing from the great tradition of German craftsmanship. The acres of wood trim throughout the interior were all genuine solid hardwood, accented by the gentle use of brightwork. The upholstery was thick and comfortable, and both the ride quality and handling were (and continue to be) superb. Unsurprisingly, these cars rapidly became favorites of international socialites and celebrities, and they were frequently seen cruising in all of the world’s most posh destinations. Just less than 1,400 280SE Cabriolets were assembled from 1968-1971. Their rarity, performance, handling, craftsmanship are all blended perfectly into a design that has become iconic. It is no wonder why the 280SE has become one of the most recognized classic Mercedes-Benz models sought after by collectors today.
The 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SE Cabriolet featured here is finished in stunning Moss Green with a new Cognac leather interior and a brown convertible top. This 280SE was previously owned by the same family for over 30 years and was originally from Southern California. The data card copy on file confirms that this example is still propelled by its numbers matching engine and automatic transmission while the odometer displays only 85,167 miles. Nearly $200,000 was invested, which resulted in a 17-month restoration that included an all-new leather interior, fresh chrome, and bright work, a gorgeous paint job in factory correct Moss Green, vibrant refinished woodwork and much more! Simply put, this 280SE Cabriolet is one of the best-restored examples that can be found on the market today. We are proud to offer this gorgeous example to the most astute collector, investor or enthusiast who appreciates the legendary status of the Mercedes-Benz 280SE.  Classic cars have proven to be among the most resilient and rewarding investments in recent years with the Historic Automobile Group Index (HAGI) jumping 39% in 2013, 16% in 2014 and 17% in 2015 while posting gains of 467% over the last 10 years. 1963 SAAB 96 'BULLNOSE'

The car is in excellent condition and is one of the rarer and therefore sought after Bull-nose versions that were produced until 1965. This particular car has had 4 owners in its 55-year existence since it was first registered in Sweden on the 19th February 1963! It has the factory fitted iconic Saab logo attached to the grill. In the recent past, this car had a top to bottom and inside out detailed restoration. Since then it has only clocked up a further 10.999 km. The splendid bodywork is very straight with perfect fitting body panels. The paint finish is second to none. The underbody is sound and solid without any rust formation. The beautifully detailed interior is in pristine condition. Opening the bonnet reveals a well cared for the engine that runs perfectly. It has the stronger 40- horsepower 2-stroke 840cc engine in combination with a 4-speed manual transmission with a neutral position. The experience of driving a 2-stroke is really quite something else! This truly is a superbly restored Bull-nose!

1973 JAGUAR XJ-12 SERIES I

A fully restored 1972 Jaguar XJ12 for sale. This MKI was supplied from new to Switzerland on the 29th September 1972 and registered there on the 30th February 1973. It was exported to the Netherlands on the 16th October 2009, after it had been garaged in Switzerland and not used for over 31 years from 1988 to 2009! The odometer reads a mere 83,901 km. A few years ago the car underwent full restoration in Holland. Neither cost nor effort was spared to achieve a sublime finish to the car, everything being duly photographically recorded. The perfectly straight, as good as new bodywork has corresponding perfect fitting body panels. Likewise, the uncorroded underbody is fantastic and as good as new. The paint finish and chrome work are again of an excellent high quality. An XJ restoration of this higher quality is most certainly a rarity! It has an original colour coded finish of ‘White with a Dark Blue leather trim’. This XJ has its Jaguar Heritage certified ‘Matching Numbers’ engine. We have yet to come across a better immaculately restored XJ12!
