RARE FIBREGLASS (VETRORESINA)

This particular Ferrari 308 GTB is a rare fibreglass (Vetroresina) car - one of fewer than 200 right-hand-drive examples built. Chassis number 20699 was built in 1977, and retains its Ferrari factory-specification electric windows and air-conditioning, as well as the original spare wheel. This beautiful Ferrari 308 GTB is presented in gleaming Rosso Corsa paintwork following a complete gel coat re-spray as part of its extensive and through recommissioning. This included - engine detailed as was the bay during the major service which included belts, tensioner bearings, valve clearances and all new hoses, the A/C system was reinstated, brakes overhauled, new shock absorbers and springs with the removal and recoating of all suspension components, complete steering overhaul , rust treat – the chassis was stripped, prepared, recoated and finally wax treated for future protection. Lastly a complete sympathetic restoration of the interior consisting of Nero hide and Red carpets. The history file that accompanies this Ferrari 308 GTB includes original invoices and registration documents, not to mention the complete and original leather pouch and books. Its current odometer reading of just over 38,300 miles leaves plenty of scope to be enjoyed thoroughly by the next owner. The Ferrari 308 GTB is not merely a great sports car, though - it is also an excellent choice for collectors, being the company's first two-seater mid-engined V8, which has paved the way for every eight-cylinder model since. It is even more desirable with the rare and early fibreglass body, and there are few examples that can be said to be in such excellent condition as this car.
