1983 TOYOTA CELICA 2.0ST COUPE
The third generation Toyota Celica A60 was introduced in August 1981 and underwent a facelift in August 1983.

According to "How Many Left" there are only 9 cars from this period licensed for the road and a further 82 off road. This number will include Liftbacks and some post facelift models registered late 1983. As such, this example will most likely be the best surviving pre-facelift Coupe in the UK and one of the best worldwide.

It is original, unrestored and of true collector quality.

It was registered new in May 1983 by Central Motors Ltd, the Toyota Dealer in Chadderton, and before use they subjected the car to a Bygging Rustproofing treatment and this has helped to keep it in the superb condition we see today.

It was owned by them for 10 months before being sold to a local gentleman in Littleborough.

This private owner used the car sparingly until 1996 at which point it had only covered 20527. He then placed it into dry storage where it remained until July 2008 when it was driven on a six mile round trip to the local MOT testing station where it passed an MOT inspection without problem. The car was then placed back into storage until recently from where we bought it direct from the now elderly gentleman.

We transported it back to Leeds, fitted a new battery, drained the old fuel, replaced with fresh petrol and the car started without problem. It then was presented for MOT which it passed without problem,

The history file contains the V5, current MOT, the 2008 MOT certificate, the last Road Tax Disc from 1996, the original Hand Book and Toyota Dealer list.

The current genuine recorded mileage is 20537 miles.

The MOT now runs until July 2018 and road tax can be arranged for the new owner if required.

Prospective buyers are welcome to come and view the car in our Leeds showroom.

UK wide professional delivery is available. Please ring for a quote. We are also happy to deliver to any mainland port for export.
