1957 FORD CONSUL ESTATE HI-LINE
Chassis Number 61895. Finished in glacier blue and ermine white bodywork with matching interior trim. This lovely car has been kept in very good condition all its life and has only had four previous owners in the last fifty-nine years. The second owner kept it from 1963 to 2008. The Consul estate Hi-Line is one of only two examples known to exist world wide so the word 'rare' is no exaggeration ! In recent years a complete re-paint of the bodywork was undertaken to keep her in very good order. In 1965 a Raymond Mays aluminium performance head and a four branch manifold and sporty carburetor were fitted to enhance performance (original invoice supplied) Also fitted is a Handa Vacum operated overdrive giving relaxed motorway cruising which is normally only fitted to the Zephyr and Zodiacs. This car is supplied with old style buff log book and V5c plus a detailed history file including many receipts dating back to the 1960's and a ledger kept by previous owners logging all maintenance work during ownership. This is a very well cared for motorcar and now needs a new owner to enjoy summer with.
