1938 ROVER P2 10hp
An absolutely delightful luxury car, from probably the best period. Excellent bodywork well finished in maroon, including the powder-coated wheels. Very nice interior, with new headlining, leather covered door cards and good quality carpets. The seating is original and is in very good condition, adding a lovely patina to the interior. Underneath, the car is very clean and tidy. The chrome work is new, the tyres are good and there is a new battery. These were well equipped cars, and include an automatic lubricaction system. The car starts and runs well through its 4 cylinder 1389cc engine and 4-speed gearbox. It also has the benefit of the Rover ‘Freewheel System’ which makes for very quiet, economic running. There is a great history file with the car, going back to 1955, including buff log book and sales invoice from Ozalid Co. Ltd, London, dated 1955, when the car sold to a gentleman in Ruislip for £250. A major refit was carried out in 1954, further work in 1961, and a comprehensive restoration from 2012 onwards by the current owner. V5C.
We are always pleased to consider part-exchange for other pre-war or early post-war cars, (or for good MGBs) and can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.
