1978 FIAT 124 SPIDER
Designed by Pininfarina and penned by Tom Tjaarda, who also famously designed the Ferrari 365 GT California and the De Tomaso Pantera, the beautifully proportioned Spider was launched in 1966. Due to its timeless looks, it stayed in production until 1985.

The engine was designed by ex-Ferrari Engineer Aurelio Lampredi and is a twin cam alloy cylinder head design, which produced 116bhp. Interestingly, the design evolved and went on to power legends such as the Lancia MonteCarlo and Delta Integrale.

This stunning example originated from California, and as a result was sourced by the previous owner in a completely rust-free state. Re-painted around four years ago, it now presents very sharply and is the much admired chrome bumper model.

The interior and hood are both cream in colour, and compliment the car beautifully.

The period sports steering wheel and gear knob enhance the cabin and complete the whole "La Dolce Vita" feel to the car. This all adds to a real sense of occasion when seated behind the steering wheel.

The car's accompanying history file details the import documentation and many invoices from the light refurbishment it received upon reaching the UK.

In summary, this Spider shines in all the areas a true classic should - from design, driving experience and oozing in style and sophistication.

What Octane magazine says:

A 124 Spider looks great, with the 1756cc version the sweetest model to choose. It offers a characterful and engaging driving experience and can be run on a reasonable budget. What more could you want?
