1963 FIAT 500 D TRASFORMABILE
Fiat produced their iconic ‘suicide door’ 500 D from 1960 – 1965. This was also available with the ‘Transformable roof’ which folds all the way back down to the engine bay.
This combination of fully convertible roof and suicide doors is rare now, and has become the most collectable version of the 500.
The Classic Car Company is delighted to offer another of these cracking little cars.
Built in 1963, and first delivered to an Italian owner, until the mid 1990s when it was exported to Spain. It had one owner in Elche (Alicante) for nearly 20 years until the car was brought to the UK and restored in 2015. The following work was carried out:
– Full, glass out, re-spray in Ferrari Rosso Corsa
– Rebuilt original engine and gearbox
– Underside stripped and protected
– Rebuilt Brakes and Running gear
– Rebuilt electrics with alternator
– New interior
– New roof
The car has covered around 1000 KMs since the restoration, and was recently part of The Goodwood Revival celebrations. It is in excellent condition.
A chance to own an appreciating classic that brings a smile to whoever comes into contact with it!
